Van de Putte seeks Lt. Governor position

Senator Leticia Van de Putte address hundreds at San Antonio College.

SAN ANTONIO - Senator Leticia Van de Putte ended the suspense and finally declared her intention to seek the position of  Texas Lt. Governor at an event on Saturday afternoon in the main gymnasium at the San Antonio College.

She will join her colleague and fellow Senator Wendy Davis who will be seeking the position of Texas Governor. If successful, Davis would be the third female to hold the office of Texas Governor.

Van de Putte is expected to launch her campaign in the weeks to come and is relying on the Hispanic vote to give them an edge.
